It Takes A VIllage (ITAV) Community Farm is a 3 acre farm led in partnership with Grace United Church of Christ. The farm is located in Sauk VIllage, IL, a south suburb of Chicago.
The vision for a community green space in Sauk Village began in 2019, shortly after the last grocery store closed down. After several years of community conversations and planning, construction of the farm began in the Fall of 2021.
Once fully developed, the farm will produce over 50,000 pounds of fresh, organic, culturally affirming food for Sauk Village and neighboring communities on an annual basis. The farm is also designed to offer a variety of educational programs and community events.
