It Takes A Village Community Farm

2500 223rd St., Sauk Village, IL

It Takes A Village Community Farm is a 3 acre farm in Sauk Village, a suburb just south of Chicago, led in partnership with Grace United Church of Christ. The farm produces culturally affirming food for the community, provides free educational programming and job training, and brings people together through events and shared gathering space.

Food For the Community

It Takes A Village Community Farm produces thousands of pounds of culturally affirming fruits and vegetables for Sauk Village and neighboring communities on an annual basis.

The farm includes several acres of fruit and vegetable production, multiple greenhouses, pollinator gardens, and community gathering space.

Get Involved

There are many different ways that community members can get involved at the farm! You can come out and volunteer, join our CSA, attend a workshop, or even host your own event at the farm.

"I love the holistic vision and practice of Just Roots — cultivating community, responding to food insecurity, sustaining the project with CSA subscriptions.... and bringing joy to so many in the process."

– Joanne Doi, CSA Member & Volunteer
